After a magnificent 2009 harvest, we could not possibly have hoped for such a fantastic 2010. Following a tough winter, a harsh frost took us by surprise in May and this, together with strong winds and rain in June, resulted in a reduction of 25% in yield. Until that moment we had not predicted a particularly good harvest but then suddenly, everything changed. Summer brought ideal temperatures for the vines, hot days and fresh nights, which brought about excellent ripening of the fruit. This low yield of perfectly mature grapes allowed us to produce wine of excellent quality.

A total of 46,763 bottles (750 ml) were produced from Tempranillo, which was cultivated in vineyards of between 25 and 104 years old, located at between 760 and 970 metres above sea level. Grapes were carefully chosen from hand selected bunches and the resulting wine was aged for 15 months in barrels made from 75% French oak and 25% American oak.
