2009 produced a magnificent harvest in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. The year was characterized by low temperatures in winter followed by a fresh spring and a dry summer with pleasantly warm days and mild nights. The contrast in temperature between night and day produced fruit with complexity and wonderful concentration. The grapes reached optimum, well-balanced maturity and boasted an abundance of fruit characteristics. The harvest was perfect for producing age-worthy wines thanks to the excellent acidity and freshness of the fruit.

A total of 47.330 bottles (750ml) were produced from Tempranillo variety originating from vineyards with an average age of 45 years.

After the production process the wine remained in barrels, 70% French oak and 30% American oak.
